Vegetarian Diet

As if? Anyone remember these two famous words?

The "Clueless" actress Alicia Silverstone has been quiet on screen for a while. Well, she has something new coming up - a cookbook and a diet plan! Referring to Associated Press, the vegetarian is going to publish a book called "The Kind Diet". It will contain a diet program and 75 vegan and marcobiotic recipes and will hit the street possibly a year from now!

Talking about vegetarian diet, it has been published by Nutrition Reviews before that this diet can be very effective for major weight loss. One of the reviews suggest that body weight for both gender who practice vegetarian diet is on average 3 percent to 20 percent lower than us, the meat eaters! Also, the review states certain apparent benefits of a vegetarian diet:

- lower rates of heart disease
- lower rates of diabetes
- lower rates of high blood pressure
- reduce the risk of overweight or obesity
- increase calories burn
- better intake of nutrients

I don't think I can go all the way of being a vegetarian, however, I will definitely (have been) trying to incorporate more veggies in the daily diet!
